Comedian, content creator and actor Terence Creative will be the newest roastee in the Showmax comedy roast show, Hot Seat on Tuesday, 27th August at the Alloy Bar and Lounge in Sarit.
The famed content creator known for such creations as the Wash Wash series will be taking to the hot seat for an evening of friendly fire.
Terence, whose real name is Lawrence Macharia shot to fame through a satirical character known as Kamami that saw him address various challenges faced by women through short skits.
Before Kamami, Lawrence had worked as a creative director in the long-running TV show, Churchill show where he nurtured talent and wrote for various big-name comedians.
After Kamami, Terence went on to create more successful characters including caretaker, and arguably his most famous character Papa Fred, a flamboyant Congolese scammer who thrives in conning people by promising to multiply their money. Papa Fred was portrayed in a 3 part series called Wash Wash.
The success of Papa Fred and the Wash Wash series resulted in a movie, which he shot in 2023 starring various Kenyan stars.
The Roast Of Terence promises to be a wildly entertaining one as the content creator is not new to controversy.
Some of the comedians who will feature in the roast include Ruth Nyambura, Ty Ngachira, George Waweru, Marcus Douglas, Oluoch Kariuki and Bashir Halaiki. Emmanuel Kisiangani will be the roast master.
