Sage Storytelling Presents; When The Tough Gets Going

A few days after revealing plans to stage a one-man show in May, Kinuthia S.K. through his outfit Sage Storytelling Africa has announced a Storytelling and standup comedy night to take place on the evening of 31st January at Santuri Salon, located in the basement of the Mall, Westlands.

“January’s been tough but it’s just setting the stage for When The Tough Gets Going.” Said the caption on an Instagram post announcing the show.

“Join me for a laugh-out-loud storytelling and standup journey through my lowest moments.”

S.K. has been in the scene for roughly two years, performing on numerous stages and even got a nod to perform in Dar-Es-Salaam in 2023. Through Sage Storytellers, he began hosting storytelling sessions one year ago, to a great reception.

He has done two sessions so far, both of which focused on the lives and works of two of Kenya’s revolutionary musicians – Joseph Kamaru and Eric Wainaina.

This would be the first time he’s incorporating stand-up comedy into storytelling.

Tickets to When The Tough Gets Going are retailing at Ksh. 500 and are available to purchase via Kinuthiask.hustlesasa.shop
