comedian Ruth Nyambura has secured the services of Justine Wanda and Bashir Halaiki for a concept showcase entitled Kwani Haujui Jokes?
Scheduled for 5th April at the Nairobi Laugh Bar, the show will be the first solo venture for the entertainer.
“Ever heard a joke that made you say, ‘Kwani hujui?’ Well, this is your chance to experience this on a whole new level!” Said an Instagram caption on a post announcing the show.
“Get ready for a night of non-stop laughter, wild surprises, and comedy that hits different.”
Ruth has been in the comedy scene for about five years now and has established herself as one of the most consistent and distinguishable comedians with a unique style that more often than not borders on the dark.
Alongside Bashir, Ruth was one of the main stars of The Hot Seat, a showmax roast series that’s currently airing on showmax.
Being a concept showcase, this latest adventure isn’t expected to conform fully to the traditional laws of stand-up.
