Punchline Comedy Club Announces New Skool 3

Punchline Comedy Club Nairobi has released the lineup for their annual comedy show, New Skool, which is slated for the 7th of September at The Two Grapes Restaurant in Kilimani.

The show, which they first did in 2022, is meant to give a platform to up-and-coming comedians who have joined the scene within the past year to showcase their growth as they look to break into the world of stand-up comedy.

This year’s lineup will feature a total of 11 comedians, 10 of whom are local, and one from Uganda. This is an increase from last year’s lineup which had 10 comedians, including KG from South Africa and Ahmed Dahal from Tanzania.

Among the comedians who will grace the stage are Alita Jack, Seroney, Saviour, Norwegian Eirin Kalestad, Shihembetsa, David Gitau, Zec Tabu, Bellamy Curtis, Martin Githinji, and Elly Odoki from Uganda.

Last year’s New Skool star, Ciru Mwangi, who opened for Dave Chapelle when he performed in Kenya in May will host this year’s edition.

Tickets for the show are retailing at Ksh. 1500 and can be obtained on the Punchline Comedy Club Website.
