Ty Ngachira has secured the services of two comedians – Justine Wanda and Maina Munene- for his two-weekend show entitled ‘Acha Niseme Initoke’ – which loosely translates to ‘Let me Speak So I Can Get It Off My Chest”
The showcase, named after a viral catchphrase that has widely been used by Kenyan social media users since last year is scheduled to take place at the Nairobi Laugh Bar on 1st February and 8th February and will see Ty dig deep into the recent happenings in the country as far as governance, or the lack thereof.
“I’m doing a stand-up comedy showcase based on what’s happening in our country with regard to freedom of expression on the 1st and 8th of February. Come and let’s laugh at tyranny.” Said Ty on an Instagram post promoting the show.
The addition of Justine and Munene further enhances the show’s overall theme as the two are co-creators of a viral political satire series, Mr. Spokesman. The former is also a host on Africa Uncensored’s show The Big Picture alongside John-Allan Namu and Tom Mukhwana.
Tickets to the anticipated showcase are available to purchase via the Standup Collective website.
