Comedian Ty Ngachira has revealed an upcoming stand-up project entitled Millennial In Denial.
The entertainer, who already has one stand-up comedy special to his name made the information public via an image that he posted on his official Instagram account on March, 31.
“In the Kitchen. Cooking.” He captioned the image.
He did not reveal a date for the show but the image he shared had the words “coming soon…” on it suggesting that Millennial In Denial is more of a sooner rather than a later affair.
Ty has been performing stand-up since at least 2018 and is one of the most experienced comedians in the Kenyan comedy scene.
He has performed in multiple cities across Kenya and Africa. In April 2024, Ty recorded his first-ever comedy special entitled Being Kenyan at The Louis Leakey Auditorium in front of two back-to-back sold-out audiences.
He went on to have a wildly successful year that also saw him create and direct a short film in partnership with Docubox.
This year, Ty has already staged a concept showcase that sold out two successive Saturdays at the Nairobi Laugh Bar. He also headlined Karura Comedy Club’s sold-out Mombasa Comedy Jam in February.
Together with Doug Mutai, Ty has a scheduled performance at the Nakuru Players Theatre on April 18.
