Karura Comedy Club has announced a New Year’s Eve showcase to take place at Stoni Athi Resort in Athi River.
Entitled Stoni Athi Laughs, the family-friendly affair will feature some familiar faces from the Nairobi comedy scene.
“Come through for a nostalgic night of laughter as we take stock on (sic) years gone by and cross over to 2025.” Said an Instagram caption on a post announcing the show.
Nairobi Laugh Bar founder, Doug Mutai, Bashir Halaiki, Ruth Nyambura and George Waweru will perform on the night.
Emmanuel Kisiangani, who is the founder of Karura Comedy Club will also feature on the lineup.
This is, for all intents and purposes, a strategic move by the comedy outfit that is looking to stamp its name on the ever-growing Nairobi comedy scene.
Entry to the showcase is free for guests but walk-ins will have to cough up Ksh. 1,500 at the gate.
