Justine Wanda jetted back into the country after a surprise visit to South Africa.
The host of Fake Woke With Justine, a show she recently took a break from to focus on her mental wellness, was in Cape Town for a short duration.
While it’s unclear whether she had traveled for comedy or other business, she did hit several comedy stages while she was there.
From her social media posts, she performed at several venues and also hung out with several South African big-name comedians including Robby Collins, Vafa Naraghi and KG Mokgadi, all of whom have been to Kenya recently
Having been a part of last year’s Johannesburg International Comedy Festival, Justine is no doubt a familiar figure within South Africa’s comedy community.
Whether comedy was her main motivation for travel or not, that she was able to perform on multiple stages within a few days is a testament to the growth of the comedy scene in Kenya as she joined a growing list of Kenyan comedians who have traveled outside for comedy this year.
Since coming back, she has already got down to work, hosting Gaya Marina’s one-man show on the 26th and she has a few shows lined up.
