Is Adan Abdi Planning A Show In Garissa?

Adan Abdi has hinted at staging a stand-up comedy show in the North Eastern town of Garissa in January.

Abdi is currently on his Slippery world tour which has already seen him perform in Cape Town, South Africa and Nakuru.

“Might mess around and do a show in Garissa in Jan.” Adan posted on his official X account on December 8th. He later posted a screenshot of the tweet on his Instagram stories with the caption ‘GARISSA’ and an hourglass next to it, which all but confirmed the high likelihood of the show taking place.

North Eastern nominated member of Parliament, Umulkher Harun, reacted to the post and gave her two cents on how she thought Abdi could make the show a success should he choose to go forward with it.

“Host at the university or garissa (sic) library. Incoporate (sic) the daqan of the community. Make it a cultural night and engage local tiktokers. Ensure to secure female and men seating arrangements. You will have yourself a big event. All the best!!” Umulkher wrote.

To which Adan replied;

“Thank you so much for the insights and kind wishes Umi! Definitely given me a lot to consider. Let you know how it goes, In Shaa Allah. Maxadsanid!”

Until this point, all signs point to the show happening, but whether he will add it as a stop to the Slippery tour or execute it as a standalone show remains to be seen.
