The live taping of Showmax celebrity roast show, The Hot Seat will resume on January 21 with popular comedian YY poised to be on the receiving end.
The former Churchill Show funnyman will join a long list of comedians who have graced the hot seat so far – Other Churchill Show alumni who have made appearances in the show include Eric Omondi, Prof. Hamo and Eddie Butita.
Emmanuel Kisiangani will resume his role as the roastmaster after paving the way for Bashir Halaiki in the roast of DJ and media personality Pierra Makena that took place in December before the live tapings took a brief holiday break.
For the first time, The Hot Seat will have two female roasters on the panel – Ruth Nyambura and Nelly Wangechi who has become a fan favorite since her electrifying performance at the roast of Butita.
The panel will also be happy to welcome back roaster Ty Ngachira. Ty has been a conspicuous absence from the last two episodes having made appearances in each of the first seven.
Comedian and writer George Waweru will also make a return after not featuring in the roast of Pierra.
The live taping will take place at Alloy Lounge in Sarit, Westlands. Entry is free.
