Comedian and podcast host Emmanuel Kisiangani will be taking his podcast, the Kisiangani podcast, on a live stand-up comedy stage at the Nairobi Laugh Bar on the 17th of April.
The podcast, which Kisiangani hosts together with comedian Bashir Halaiki, has been running for several years now, initially being hosted by Kisiangani alone before Bashir joined, first as a guest and later on as a co-host of the Blissful Banter ‘spin-off’.
The podcast usually entails interviews (read banter) with guests from all walks of life, from comedians to musicians to radio and tv hosts and even other podcasters.
Some of the more famous guests who have made appearances at the Kisiangani podcast include Comedians Justine Wanda, Shazz Nderitu, Maina Munene, George Waweru, Doug Mutai, Ty Ngachira, and podcast host Mwafreeka. This edition will see the two hosts banter with guests live on stage.
Some of the guests to be interviewed on the night will be comedians Nduta Kariuki, who made a comeback this year after a brief stay away from the comedy scene and George Waweru, one of Nairobi’s top comedians. Bashir Halaiki will reprise his role as the co-host.
The live recording will be a part of the larger Nairobi International Comedy Festival, which will be making a comeback after an almost four year hiatus.
