Exactly three weeks after compatriot Cotilda Inapo performed at Nairobi’s first full-time comedy club, Ugandan comedian Dr. Hilary Okello is set to add his name to the long list of foreign comedians who have performed in Nairobi this year.
Dr. Hilary, who is a viral sensation in his home country, will be making a stop at the Nairobi Laugh Bar on the 30th of November for a one-night-only performance.
The clinician-turned-comedian is no stranger to the Kenyan comedy scene as he has performed in Nairobi on a few occasions before. He has also performed in South Africa, Rwanda, Zambia and South Sudan.
Known for his observational material, Dr. Hilary began performing stand-up professionally in 2017 and has gone on to share the stage with some of Uganda’s big-name comedians including Salvador and Anne Kansiime.
In 2023, He performed at the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival.
Dr. Hilary has several specials to his name, the latest being Funny On Purpose which he recorded in April 2023.
