Punchline Comedy Club has announced a series of pop-up shows leading up to the Distant Relatives Comedy Festival.
The pop-up shows will happen in various locations across the city every Friday leading up to the festival dates of the 4th and 5th of May.
In addition to creating hype for the festival, the pop-up shows are also meant to give a spotlight to young comics.
The first pop-up show will happen at the Geco Cafe and will feature a lineup of Mike, Nathan Rerei, and David Gitau, followed by a comedy on the spot segment. The show will be hosted by Ciru Mwangi.
The second show will take place at the Wasp and Sprout in Loresho. Among the comedians who will take the stage are Greg Wahome, Abdi Mohammed, and Marvin Githinji. The show will be hosted by Eric Lu-Savali.
Entry to the pop-up shows is free, but priority will be given to Distant Relatives ticket holders
Distant Relatives is a yearly festival by Punchline Comedy Club that brings together comedians from across the world for a two night comedy extravaganza.
