Comedian Mike One has announced a concept comedy showcase set to take place on Saturday, June 7, at the Nairobi Laugh Bar.
Titled Boyz II Men, the showcase will be the comedian’s first headlining outing and will see him explore the complexities of a boy growing into a man.
“Growing up is overrated—but someone’s gotta do it. Boyz to Men is about boyish ambition crashing into adult reality.” Mike once said in an Instagram post.
Mike One, who is the founder of Laugh Factory Kenya, has been in the comedy scene for about four years, during which time he has performed in multiple towns and cities.
Last year, he took part in Maina Munene’s A Child Of The Mau Mau comedy tour, which hit the cities of Nakuru, Mombasa, and Lamu Town. He also made an appearance in the Hot Seat, a roast series currently airing on Showmax.
Despite all his previous adventures, Boyz II Men is the entertainer’s most daring endeavor yet.
