Blacklisted Storytellers To Return On May 29

The next edition of Blacklisted Storytellers – one of Nairobi’s most exclusive and low-key ‘comedy’ nights will take place this Thursday, May 29 at Wasp and Sprout in Loresho.

The stand-up comedy and storytelling highbreed show, which celebrated its one-year anniversary in February, and made its Nairobi Laugh Bar debut in March could be happening for the last time according to reports.

Put together by Irish stand-up comedian and artist, Luke Maginess, Blacklisted has distinguished itself as more than just a comedy night as performers are usually encouraged to tell a raw and compelling story.

According to Luke, who describes it best, Blacklisted is “an evening of storytelling from raconteurs and undesirables. It’s raw, real and unforgettable.”

The first-ever edition of Blacklisted took place on Thursday, 8th February 2024 at Wasp and Sprout and had mostly comedians on its lineup. Subsequent editions have featured diverse lineups which have included non-comedians and traveling artists.

Entry to Blacklisted is on a ‘pay what you think’ basis.
