Comedian Eric Lu Savali has bagged a spot at Showmax’s Laugh Africa Comedy Festival which will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa from 2nd to 4th May 2025.
The annual event, which was inaugurated in April last year brings together top comedians from around the world – with a special focus on African talent – for a series of live performances, stand-up shows, and comedic acts.
“Following the amazing success of last year’s festival, we knew we had to come back bigger, bolder, and funnier.” Stuart Taylor, the festival’s creative director was quoted as saying.
“This year, we’re casting the net wider, bringing together some of the best comedic talent from across Africa to create a truly continental celebration of laughter.”
Eric is one of two East African beneficiaries of the wider casting of the net, alongside veteran Ugandan comic, Salvador.
The two acts will join an experienced cast of performers in the three-day affair which will include a two-night international headline act, the roast of a well-known media personality, and other diverse comedy shows.
