Karura Comedy Club’s monthly showcase, The Comedy Jam will return on Friday 21st March at Kez Organics in Kilimani.
On the lineup will be Nellie Wangechi, Imogen Hooper, and David Macharia. David will be on hosting duties while Nellie and Imogen will settle for the coveted co-headliner spots.
This will be the first of two Comedy Jam performances in as many weeks for the high-flying Nellie who is also scheduled to perform at the Mombasa edition of the show, alongside George Waweru. The Mombasa Comedy Jam will take place at Makaazi, Nyali.
David has been making waves within the Nairobi comedy scene with his concept cross-genre show, David Macharia And The People That Agreed To Do This Show which is coming back for a fourth edition on March 29. He’ll be hoping to continue with his impressive run comedy-wise at Kez.
The showcase should also serve as an appropriate welcome-back gift to the hard-to-find Imogen Hooper who has been in and out of the comedy scene since 2022 and only recently returned after a second stint away.
