The Mombasa Comedy Jam will return on Friday 28th March at its usual venue – Makaazi, Nyali.
Happening for the third time this year, the now-monthly Karura Comedy Club-curated showcase will feature George Waweru, Nellie Wangechi and Elvis Mung’ala.
“No gimmicks. Just pure, unfiltered comedy in the perfect setting..” Said the caption on an Instagram post announcing the show.
The last two editions have been wildly successful with the February edition that featured Maina Munene and Ty Ngachira selling out.
Owing to the star power of its lineup, this latest offering is also likely to bring in the numbers.
Nellie has been enjoying an incredible stretch comedy-wise since late last year – a stretch that has seen her appear on dozens of stages including a well-earned Arusha stop last December.
George hasn’t been without his successes either. He was most recently featured in Maina Murumba’s headlining outing, Casino Monkey at the Nairobi Laugh Bar.
George and Nellie are also both stars on The Hot Seat, a celebrity roast show currently airing on Showmax.
The duo will be hoping to continue with their hot streaks on March 28th.
