Ty Ngachira Presents; Wacha Niseme Initoke

Ty Ngachira and the Nairobi Laugh Bar are partnering up for a show that will happen on two separate Saturdays – 1st and 8th February – at the Nairobi Laugh Bar.

Dubbed Wacha Niseme Initoke, which loosely translates to, “Let me speak and get it off my chest”, the show will be a follow-up to his comedy special, Being Kenyan, which he recorded in April last year at the Louis Leakey Auditorium.

The veteran comedian, poet and ex-lawyer will be aiming to continue cementing his name as one of the most successful performers in the fledgling but competitive comedy scene which has seen numerous new talents emerge in the last year.

Ty has been in the scene since at least 2018, before which he was a poet. He has performed locally at shows such as Punchline Comedy Club’s annual Distant Relatives comedy showcase, and the Nairobi International Comedy Festival. Ty also has a comedy special to his name.

Internationally, Ty has performed in Tanzania and South Africa.

The two-weekend show will be a first at the Nairobi Laugh Bar whose experimental shows have been greatly successful.

Tickets are available to purchase via the Standup Collective website.
