Jersey-born singer, Zowie Kengocha is set to join David Macharia in his Nairobi Laugh Bar showcase, David Macharia And The People That Agreed To Do This Show on Saturday 18th January.
The announcement was made via Instagram posts on Kenyan Comedy Co. and David Macharia’s official Instagram pages, as well as Zowie’s official page.
Curated by David, the cross-genre affair – which is happening for the second time – will feature a variety of performers including comedians and musical guests – Zowie is the first confirmed guest.
Born in Jersey, and raised in Nairobi, the songstress, whose music embodies a mix of RnB, Indie-Pop and dance music has built a reputation for herself as a strong live act with numerous performances across Nairobi under her belt.
Her discography includes two EPs, namely; You Never Learn released in 2023 and Spiral Tape released in 2024. She has also been featured on Spotify Africa’s COLORS Studio series where she performed her single, Project.
