A live screening of A Very Kenyan Sketch Show, a creation of Standup Collective and Tribesman Pictures will take place on January 4th at the Nairobi Laugh Bar, alongside a stand-up comedy show.
This will happen ahead of its YouTube premiere on January 6th.
Co-written by George Waweru, the comedy series stars several comedians from the Nairobi comedy scene as well as popular figures within the Kenyan entertainment industry.
The live-screening plus stand-up show will be the first show of the year at the Nairobi Laugh Bar and will feature Doug Mutai, Maina Munene, Darren Collins and George Waweru, all of whom are stars in the series.
As the name suggests, A Very Kenyan Sketch Show presents a quirky view of the contemporary Kenyan lifestyle and typical Kenyan behaviours.
The series had been in development for a while before shooting began late last year and is expected to be a hit once it premieres.
Tickets to the live screening are retailing at Ksh. 1500 and can be purchased via the Standup Collective website.
