Justine Wanda and Mike One will co-headline this month’s edition of The Comedy Jam at Kez Organics on December 13.
A product of Karura Comedy Club, The Comedy Jam is a monthly showcase that sees two comedians play co-headlining slots alongside a host and several opening acts.
The host and openers, who could range from three to five, are usually revealed on the night of the show.
It’s a first headlining nod for Mike One who has enjoyed relative success since his entry into the scene in 2022. Mike is the founder of Laugh Factory Kenya and the curator of Freaky Friday, a weekly comedy open mic that happens at Pete’s Cafe in the CBD.
He recently featured in Comedy Culture’s monthly showcase at the Kenyan Originals Kraft Room and is set to appear at the roast of Pierra Makena on 17th December at Alloy Lounge, Westlands.
Justine has been in and out of comedy this year but she has still managed to perform on some of the biggest stages locally and internationally. She is scheduled to open for South Africa’s Vafa Naraghi at the Nairobi Laugh Bar on Wednesday 11th; two days before she performs at Kez.
