Nduta Kariuki will be opening for Ugandan comedian Dr. Hilary who is scheduled to perform at the Nairobi Laugh Bar on November 30.
The announcement was made through an Instagram post on Nairobi Laugh Bar’s official page that revealed the final lineup for the end-month show.
It’s been a busy couple of months for the comedian who recently took part in an all-female showcase put together by Rahab Kihuha at the Nairobi Laugh Bar.
Taking to the stage alongside Nduta and Dr. Hilary will be Oluoch Kariuki who will serve as host for the night.
Dr. Hilary is set to add his name to the long list of foreign comedians who have performed at the Laugh Bar this year; his performance coming exactly three weeks after compatriot Cotilda Inapo also performed at Nairobi’s first full-time comedy club.
The clinician-turned-comedian is no stranger to Kenyan comedy audiences as he has performed in Nairobi on a few occasions before. He has also performed in South Africa, Rwanda, Zambia and South Sudan.
While not as far-traveled as Dr. Hilary, Nduta Kariuki has made a name for herself since coming back into the Nairobi comedy scene after a long hiatus.
Tickets to the show are available on the Standup Collective website.
