Mombasa Comedy Club has announced a showcase on November 30 at the 19th Limited located along Links Road, and opposite Nyali Bazaar, Mombasa.
The showcase, called Cheka Comedy Function, will be the first in a long time for the Coast-based comedy outfit and will feature a lineup of comedians drawn from the coastal region.
Some of the comedians who will grace the stage include Papa George, Elvis Mungala, Belinda, Mcheshi Philo and Mkwasi Papaa. Ricky Nelson and Henry Mzera will make special guest appearances.
“Don’t stay down. Come and laugh with us. The comedy is back.” Said the caption on an Instagram post announcing the showcase.
Mombasa Comedy Club has been in operation since 2023 and has held shows in various locations across Mombasa and other coastal towns since its inception.
The Club has however been on a break since June and this showcase should be a welcome development for the performing comics as well as comedy lovers in Mombasa.
Tickets to Cheka Comedy Function are retailing at Ksh. 500 for advance tickets, Ksh. 700 for gate tickets and Ksh. 1000 for VIP tickets, and can be bought through Paybill number 247247 and account number 0715381981.
