Punchline Comedy Club Conducts A Workshop in Kisumu

Punchline Comedy Club Nairobi conducted a stand-up comedy workshop for aspiring comedians in Kisumu on Friday, 8th.

The workshop was part of Sanara, an inclusive creative industries program for young artists in Kenya by the Mastercard Foundation.

Sanara program is meant to provide information, skills, connections and opportunities to young Kenyan artists in various creative fields, including but not limited to fashion, film, content creation, live music, theatre and performing arts.

The stand-up comedy workshop was led by the founder of Punchline Comedy Club Nairobi, Eric Lu-savali and comedian and content creator, Arnold Saviour.

Through workshops and clinics across various towns and cities in Kenya, Punchline Comedy Club is hoping to recruit, train, and provide opportunities to young aspiring stand-up comedians.

The comedy club will be working closely with HEVA, SNDBX-ubuntu, Baraza Media Lab and GoDown Arts Centre.
