South African heavyweight comedian Chris Mapane is expected to jet into the country sometime this week for this year’s annual Distant Relatives event by Punchline Comedy Club Nairobi. This will be his second time in Nairobi since he headlined the monthly Yo Mama early last year.
Mapane is fresh off the Africa Laughs Comedy Festival where he recorded his Showmax special that is set to debut on the platform. The festival which was headlined by Eddie Griffin is the biggest in Africa. He promises audiences an unforgettable night of laughter as he is known as a beast on stage.
This year’s Distant Relatives will feature another South African Comedian, Kagiso KG Mokgadi as well as Tanzanians Evan Bukuku and Dogo Pepe. Representing Kenya will be the hilarious Ciru Mwangi, KK, Eric Lu Savali, Oluoch Kariuki.
