A second live screening of Amandeep Jagde’s stand-up comedy special, Doggies is slated for Saturday 15th February at Unseen Nairobi from 3 p.m.
The first screening took place on January 31 at Nairobi Laugh Bar in front of a sold-out crowd.
Amandeep, who is one of the most experienced comedians in the Nairobi comedy scene recorded Doggies in 2023 at Alliance Française before taking it on the road in 2024 in a three-city tour that was called Doggies On The Road. The tour ran from June to August 2024 and set the stage for the special’s release.
The 31st January live screening was more than just that as it included live stand-up performances as well as a Q&A session where Amandeep fielded questions from an eager crowd. There was also a ‘jokes that didn’t make the cut’ segment at the end. The second screening is expected to adhere to the same format.
The 56 minutes and 28 seconds-long project sees Amandeep at his comedic best. It encompasses a bold and unapologetic style of joke-writing and delivery that he has come to be known for.
